Some of the best rides in this area are on the trails high above the coast. You can find horses to ride year-round, but spring and autumn are really the best seasons. The horses like the cool tem-peratures and the Mediterranean has an especially deep blue sparkle. L’Estérel à Cheval offers group and individual rides, ranging from a few hours to a full day, for beginners to experienced riders. At their “Pony Club,” children from four years up can have day lessons or attend riding camps. They have just begun offering hour-long pony-riding lessons for children from two to four years old – les bébés cavaliers! Longer, multi-day trips, called chevauchées, journey into the massif from April to mid-June and from the end of September to the beginning of November. The chevauchées include meals and accommodation. The company operates from Le Domaine des Lacs du Dramont, near Agay.
